The Walking Dead season 4 will return early next month with Episode 9. Who dies? Are there going to be any deaths?
Andrew Lincoln (who plays Rick Grimes), reported that “predicting that someone else will die before Season 4 of The Walking Dead wraps up is pretty much like predicting the sun will rise in the morning; however, we’ve got a pretty good indication of which cast member will be dying, and let’s just say it will be a real shocker.”
In the last episode before the mid-season break (Titled “Too Far Gone”), the Governor convinces the remaining members of the camp to follow him to the prison. While Lilly doesn’t believe him, he tells Lilly that most of the people at the prison are monsters.
The prison gets overrun with walkers as the two groups of survivors fight, with almost a dozen survivors dying by the end of the episode–including the Governor, stabbed by Michonne, and shot in the head by Lilly. Carl and Rick walk away from the prison as walkers move into it.
If the following episodes are based on the comics, then Rick and Carl will move into an abandoned home, with Rick getting sick and Carl taking care of both of them. In the comics, Michonne tracks Rick and Carl and arrives just as Carl was about to get attacked.
Three new characters confirmed to appear on the show, Abraham, Rosita, and Dr. Eugene Porter, appear in the comic books at Hershel’s farm, which one of the groups of survivors were forced to leave after a hoard walked through.
The series doesn’t follow the books precisely, so it remains to be seen where these three characters will come in.
“There’s going to be a lot of familiar stuff, brand-new stuff and remixed stuff.” Showrunner Scott Gimple told the Hollywood Reporter. There are some things where you will totally know them and hopefully be expecting them, and then there will be some stuff that’s brand-new that you have no idea if it’s coming but it will circle around to moments from the comic. Fans once again will absolutely see a lot of iconic moments.
